Learning Skills on the Potter’s Wheel

Culturally the potter working with clay has been given almost a spiritual dimension – the wheel conveys the evolution of human civilization itself – and working with clay to give shape and then see it fired is an art. Our young girls have this wonderful opportunity to take to the potter’s wheel and learn how a kiln functions. We share an image of our students engaged in this activity by side of the natural brook that runs through our campus.
